Recently I have been talking to my clients about the coming few weeks, which are traditionally for many a time of overindulgence, not exercising and for some, feeling guilty.

If you read my first blog of this year (https://www.glenyschatterley.uk.com/new-years-resolutions/) you’ll know I’m not a big fan of the new year, or of resolutions. What I am a fan of is having a plan that works for me, whatever the time of year, whatever I am doing and which always includes being kind to myself https://www.glenyschatterley.uk.com/be-kind-to-yourself/)

Working on my plan has meant that I am in control but not in a “I’m going to be in control and watch everything I eat and never eat (insert list) ever again”, type of way. No, plan ahead and then relax, enjoy whatever I want to eat, or not eat, do, or not do. So as I write this blog I am dressed for exercise and have a list that say: Christmas tasks, work (I still have 2 businesses to run), exercise, repeat. During the day I will keep going and then relax, turn off the computer, turn on the TV and have a Christmas treat. Terry’s Chocolate orange is my treat of choice.

So this is a short blog because I have come to the ‘work’ part of my list and I realised that while my clients are approaching the holiday period feeling their plan is robust, they also know that if it doesn’t prove to be the case then they can tweak their plan after their holiday overindulgence. They are in control, tomorrow is another day and they can do it, because they are doing it and their weight loss so far shows them that. It also means that they have accepted that they are wonderful people who can make, and change, decisions and continue to write their new story.

This is also a short blog because  I wanted to give you a gift: Go to:
