Recently I met up with a business contact and above you can see the meeting. When the above photo was posted I got some public messages saying “Wow” “The waffle looks huge!” Then I got some private messages saying variations on the “I thought you were on a diet” theme. So I thought I’d use this as a example of how I accommodate this within my plan.

First, let’s note that I am following my plan, which is almost certainly going to be different to your plan. That’s because our lives are different, our likes are different, and what work for me possibly won’t work for you. My plan took a while to devise and sometimes changes. At the moment I’m not eating breakfast every day, but that could change. My plan is flexible and yours would be too.

I knew I was going to be eating this late afternoon, so I had no breakfast and a light lunch. Then my stomach and I were ready for the waffles.

Now let’s dissect the food in the picture:

Starting with the hot chocolate. This was ordered by mistake—I would not have ordered hot chocolate and a waffle. If having hot chocolate, I would have skimmed milk, or water, and no cream or marshmallow etc. My version is still delicious and fits with my plan. You will see that I have scooped the cream off the hot chocolate, the marshmallows were soon scoffed, and I only drank half because I had a waffle to concentrate on.

Now the waffle. I would be happy just to have the naked waffle with no adornment, but most companies can’t cope with this order. So I have fresh fruit, M&Ms (a selection of whatever sort they offer) because I love them and they can be savoured one, or two, at a time. Then I have a dusting of sugar or, as in the picture, chocolate sauce. Yum! No cream or ice cream, just too much for me but might be a necessity for you, it’s your plan.

I’m not the sort who leaves some food on the plate. (See: Making choices https://www.glenyschatterley.uk.com/making-choices/ ) I eat what I have ordered. When will I have waffles again? I don’t know, but, by not being on a diet I can when I decide. Oh, and it was all delicious, thanks for asking.
